Multiple award-winning Nollywood actress and producer, Stephanie Okereke-Linus who has recently enjoyed several upsurge in her career has taken it a bit further with an appearance in a a new Hollywood movie, Boonville Redemption.
Boonville Redemption is set for a November 8, 2016 release, and here is her opinion about it – “Set in 1906.Love the fact that this film is about forgiveness, truth,redemption and love and everyone was treated equally without racial barriers at least for once….big ups #boonvilleredemption for a wonderful script.
In the movie, set in the second generation of slave trade in America, Stephanie plays Doris, a compassionate lady from the second generation of slave traders in America whoose parents came from Nigeria.
Doris, who is no longer a slave,forms a bond with Belinda, a young girl in search of her biological father, and chooses to care for Blelinda’s grandma, Miss Mary as well as provide shelter for a young boy.
Melinda desperately wants to know what happened to her real father. Determined to do all within her power to find her father, Melinda’s bravery compels some of the townspeople to reveal the dark secrets that they have kept to themselves for years.
Her example gives them strength to bring the truth to light and ultimately to find forgiveness and redemption.
Along with Boonville’s residents, Melinda learns that when you look for the truth, that’s where you’ll find grace.
Stephanie features alongside Hollywood actors, Pat Boone, Diane Ladd, Edward Asner, Emily Hoffman, Nicholas Neve Shari Rigby, Richard Tyson, and the movie was Dirceted by Don Schroeder.
